Dedicated Van Lines

The first two words that I get when I start to write this review are “STAY AWAY”. These guys are extremely unprofessional right from pickup, committing to a delivery date, communicating with the customer & deliver the goods.

I signed up the contract with a guy called [NAME EDIT] – clearly describing the items that I’m moving including the boxes. Till the time I made the first payment they did sweet talk. Liam mentioned that I will get the delivery the next day and he committed to pickup on day after Christmas 26th. They messed up the pickup date and someone came to me without a wrapping blankets. The date got pushed out to 27th.

Pickup crew arrived late afternoon and they took 5 and half hours to pickup, and finally by 7:30 PM they loaded everything into the truck. I offered them food out of courtesy and they kept insisting on tips. When I gave them tip, they argued it is too low and asked for more and more.. After they loaded, came the first boomerang – they doubled the price and they mentioned I have to talk to their front office who wrote the contract. I have no other choice but to pay.

I asked them why it is double price, they mentioned I had additional items like iron board, cable roll etc which were insignificant. I had revised the item list and made an extra payment, but the pick up guys had the old contract.

I called the front office ([NAME EDIT]) to clarify, he simply accused me of lying.

HE USES “F” WORD AND HANGS UP THE PHONE. The management says that it happens sometimes.

I kept asking them what the extra items are, there is simply no answer. They kept trying to extort as much money as possible. If there was anything extra, they should have informed before loading, but this is the way they operate, they take you to ransom.

They took close to two weeks for delivery (initial commitment was one day) and till the time goods were delivered, there is no one to help. They kept saying it is in the fine print in the contract, I was ready for a little bit of a mess up, but not to this extent.

Delivery – even more awful! They misplaced my power cords for my recliner, stole lot of items and didn’t even let me verify the items. God only knows what all they stole. They just place the washer / dryer – don’t hook them up so that we can check.. They also misplaced some key parts of my Fireplace TV Stand, refused to assemble it back. I mentioned I will not sign in the delivery confirmation slip, they said that they don’t need my signature.

When I hook up the washer dryer with fresh connections, I found the washer is also broken. I don’t have any more nasty words for them.

Seems like their contract is like a ransom to extort money and nothing else. If they delay your shipment by weeks, it is ok. If I’m outside when they turn up they will charge me delay charges.

I’m complaining to BBB and even taking legal proceedings. I definitely feel they are not fit to be in business.

If I have to describe this moving service in two words, it is no less than “HIGHWAY ROBBERY”.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5400

They were absolutely horrible. They called Friday to tell us they would be coming Saturday between 7-10 then Saturday at 7:45 they called and said they weren’t going to come until Sunday. At 7:15pm on Saturday the movers arrived unannounced. The movers came to look at our stuff and claimed that we had almost double the amount than in our contract, when we had 3 additional items. And would be charging us 2000 more dollars. We proceed to ask why that was and how could that be if basically everything was in the contract. They also made me very uncomfortable as a woman by staring at me as well as goofing around and playing in our backyard. They got mad at the questions we asked and said they will come Sunday morning at 7 am because they were tired even though they had already said they HAD to do it that evening. We asked for their contact info and higher up contact info multiple times and got in the car and drove off. They then proceeded to not show up at 7 am. We contacted the broker serval times to try to find an update. He would only pick up if we used a different phone. He was rude talked over me and hung up on me multiple times. He never gave us any info. My husband and I move Wednesday and we were very worried they wouldn’t come at all. Eventually the movers showed up at 12:30. I was upset and confused why they were so late and at the lack of communication. They got mad at us again. And refused to give us the quote we had already agreed upon. We decided to refuse their service as they never gave us any. I doubt I will get my deposit back. They were absolutely horrible and rude. There was no communication at all. We did not trust them with our stuff. I don’t usually write reviews but they were so bad. Ryan the broker was the worst of them all. Don’t use them. Now we’re stuck trying to find new movers when we move in 2 days. Also we decided to measure everything we have and GUESS WHAT it measured out to be exactly what’s in the contract. I bet they will write some sassy response to what I say but that is exactly how they spoke on the phone so take that into consideration

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3100

Received quote from Jason on inventory over the phone. I reduced inventory 33 boxes and got a quote from Eric that was $700.00 more. When the movers arrived I realized that Dedicated had brokered the move to Princz moving. My contract stated pack one day deliver the next day. Before any merchandise was packed I got a phone call from Princz stating they needed another $750.00 before proceding. $250.00 for 2 mattress pads, I went to Walmart purchased 2 for $15.00. $500.00 over night storage. Told them had a contract next day delivery, they said would not deliver till paid $500.00. I told them fine you want to deliver same day I will meet you at the new location that night which was a 6 hour drive. I got a call about 8PM stating be there next day no charge. I have damage to my old residence, I am told they are not responsible for any damage.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $700

This company is not who they say they are. They are brokers but do not stand behind the movers they book. They have a Virginia address but are doing business out of FL through a shady company. When things go bad with the mover they ignore your calls and emails and make excuses. Hopefully the FL AG Office can shut them down. I don’t even know if Dedicated Van Lines in VA really exists. Save yourself the trouble of having to file criminal charges against them and use someone else. Try PODS they are safer. That’s what I should have done. I gave them a check for $1700 as deposit and got a “receipt” from Dedicated Van Lines but the check as cashed by another person with some business in FL. Less

Totally lies! Dishonesty , fraudulent would best describe this supposedly VeteranVa run company! They currently have an over $2,058.00 deposit they have not refunded! In addition they switched this payment from our bank to a Pay Pal account closed over 12 years ago in wife’s name when the cr card used was our local bank with the account name of ONLY the husband per Pay Pal fraud , plus ; that was owned by Max Socher of Florida and was currently frozen for over utilization.Eric Carver the man who set this touts himself as an honest Vet family man! Don’t believe it he lied to us repeatedly saying the refund had been mailed! Lies! The accountant told our bank the movers had already left coming to us! Another big lie! The staff is rude and swear your refund was done months ago. Another lie! We did not even have a set date due to illness which we advised them of . Before you call these people check with Va BBB! This company does NOT have accreditation with BBB ! Hold on to your money and call a valid mover who is honest and reputable! These people are not.

Sadly we are elderly and live on retirement income. We took their word of Eric Carver the rep who set up the move that they were Vets and did not vet them as we should have! Hopefully you won’t make this mistake

From the moment I found out that I had to move for a new position at work, my search for movers began. I looked at everyone's reviews and comments and the only company that I felt comfortable with before I even spoke with them about the moving details. Then when I spoke to Tim, I felt like I was a part of the Dedicated team / family. I was so happy with the information they gave me.

On move day all my belongings were packed up and placed safely and secure into the truck. They then headed out towards my new soon to be home.

Upon arrival they showed me all of my furniture and I saw that there was not a single issue or any damage what so ever. They unloaded the truck and set all of my stuff back up and I truly could not be any happier with the service that they provided. Dedicated Van Lines gets every bit of the 5 star rating I gave them. I highly recommend using Dedicated as well. Thank you so much guys!

Looking back now I am 100% positive that we made the right choice of doing business with Dedicated Van lines. The move went so smooth and we didn’t stress the single day of it. It all started in the beginning with the hard work you put into our list to make sure we had everything accounted for. Anything we did not understand our sales rep is happy to help us get deep into the subject. The price was bar Nunn the best actually even lower than what we expected.This relocation was a big deal for us and it was hard to choose a company but in the end we put our trust in them and they delivered. Their company that works around the clock and will always make sure your needs are met. Five stars.

Im usually very skeptical when I speak to a company the first time around and it seems like everything falls into place and sounds too good to be true. This time around looking for movers Dedicated Van Lines had the offer I was searching for. Before jumping in and committing without really understanding the process or the pricing detail I did my research. I found alot of customers that were pleased with the service and the customer service was always available and pleasant to work with. We saw on government sites that this was an actual mover and not a broker or a company that works with a third party. They handled it hall from pickup to delivery and everything in between. The cost was right at our price point. I would use them again and give thier name out to anyone looking.

When it was time to start looking for movers we went on the Internet and put in our information. Without exaggerating we got a call in less than one minute from Dedicated Van lines. They told us it’s important to respond as fast as possible because they would expect the same if they were moving them self to show that a company was interested in getting Ray to work. Needless to say we spent the most time with them. We exchange phone calls and adjusted our inventory until we felt it was just right. After we made a reservation we got across from the quality assurance department just to go over our inventory list the last time to make sure he was accurate to see if we need to make any more changes either adding are deducting items. Since we gave her self some extra space the final price was last of anticipated so we were extremely happy about that. Watching them work through the home was relieving because they never chipped a piece or scrape the wall or anything worse. The truck was loaded properly and we had the drivers number to call anytime we wanted. They were and are the perfect moving company and I hope other people have the same experience we did going firward.

A big thank you to the staff over a dedicated fan lines. This relocation would not have happened without you. Most companies that we spoke to her way out of our budget and just didn’t have the right feel. Once we spoke to you we basically started from scratch and build it from the foundation up. We discussed each item and which pieces needed special attention as well as overestimating all the boxes. We gave her a set of extra space so we had room for adjustments and when we got the final price it was cheaper then the estimate we were given. This is a crew of professionals who do the job right.

I really have to take my hat off to these gentlemen. Not only were they professional and courteous to me and my family. They had the whole house cleared in just a few hours!? one of them even had treats for our two dogs to keep them out of the way!

Ryan answered all my questions very promptly through email and phone. I was so happy with how coordinated and organized they made the process. I feel like as soon as I picked up the phone, everything was taken care of.

Whether you're moving across town or across the country, DVL is the only option in my opinion. GREAT JOB FELLAS!

Had to make a big move from NY to Florida for a new job. My biggest fear when moving this long of a distance is all my prized positions won't make it to my new home. I have heard horror stories from friends that move and expensive personal items are just gone. This of course is my biggest fear as I have items from my grandmother that I cannot transport myself so I have to find a reliable moving company that won't steal my treasured items. Luckily I found Dedicated Van Lines they were extremely professional. They went out of the way to make sure my items were protected and delivered to my new home. I would highly recommend Dedicated Van Lines they took care of me and my family and my treasures.

Dedicated Van Lines was the perfect company for our relocation. We liked how much attention they gave us and never pressured us into making a financial commitment before we were ready. They are the actual moving company and do not broker the moves out to a third party. They were very clean working their way through my home and left no mess and no damages to carpets or walls. We were hopeful in getting our furniture within 2 weeks and that’s what happened. They were easy to work with and happy to answer all of our questions. In return we are happy to leave our review for potential movers.

We got everything we wanted and more working with dedicated Van lines. It’s funny because a lot of the other companies we spoke to had nothing but bad things to say. We’d like to have a dedicated Vin line to handle them self as well as the competition they didn’t say a bad word about anybody they were only concern with facts and making sure every location was set up precisely how we wanted it. Maybe if some of those other companies focused on that they would earn them self some more business but that’s neither here nor there. The staff at Dedicated Van lines was happy to offer us any savings that they could apply. Being X military we got that discount as well as booking over a month in advance wound up saving us over $500. We were looking to save as much money as possible but making sure our furniture was in good hands with our priority. The furniture showed up in pristine condition and nothing was missing. We tip the movers well and they were on their way. I’m not sure about other people but I can only hope that everybody’s move When as well as ours did. They are a five star company for the hard-working American.

I typically shy away from using a moving company, due to warnings from family & friends who have utilized one in the past. I was warned that I would be charged a different amount than I was quoted, or that my property would be damaged in transit or perhaps lost altogether. That was not my experience at all. The staff members at Dedicated Van Lines were courteous, professional, and efficient in not only sticking to their quoted budget, but also in the care that they took with the care and delivery of my belongings. Boxes were well-packed and stored, furniture was wrapped and secured during transit, and they even went so far as to carry the corresponding furniture to each individual room in my new place. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. The way that their staff handled my move speaks to their professionalism and concern about their customers. We spent a lot of time looking for what we thought was the best company for our relocation. It was a move for our employer who is kind enough to pay for the move but it was up to us to select the company. So we went online and put in some generic information and started to take phone calls from companies to ran the route. This moving company stood out for a few reasons. First off they had personality and most importantly they were willing to listen to our situation. Some of the other companies were all about the deposit and were only concerned with getting money before really getting to know us or the specifics of our move. By the time it was sent down we had grown very close with our agent. How many times can you say that you’ve had a service that you felt close with somebody like they actually cared this is one of the first times for us. The movers did great work and cleaned up after themselves and we got constant updates from the people inside the office. We never felt as if we were left in the dark and even had the drivers number to get a status update it anytime we needed it. There are hundreds and or maybe thousands of movers out there so it’s important to do a little bit of research before jumping into something. I can tell you right now that this company is honest we saw them work firsthand they work very hard and they earned every dollar we spent. thank you Dedicated Moving Company.

Dedicated Van Lines was superb. They took care of everything needed when it came to our relocation. We got a great price accompanied by customer service. After we spent an hour or 2 putting together all the furniture items we planned on taking they gave us an all inclusive price. That price included wrapping all the furniture as well as breaking them all down. They took time to pack all the boxes carefully so nothing would be damaged or the boxes wouldn’t give way and just collapse onto the ground. The transit time getting from point a to point b was fast and we felt comfortable knowing our goods were in food hands. Happy to do business with them and we highly recommend them.

We found a great company with dedicated Van lines. It wasn’t all about the pricing for us to be one of the company that we were able to communicate with regularly and stay on the same page with. We wanted to avoid any problems and we could not afford to be charged extra money on the day of delivery. The move went fairly smooth we ran into some problems with Weather but there were no major setbacks. The movers took care of her furniture with Care and made sure that when they loaded it nothing would stack that would fall and potentially break another item. Anytime we had any questions we just called our representative. That’s one of the benefits of working with an actual move-in carrier and not a moving broker.It was pretty much as easy as it could get and we have no regrets whatsoever working with them.

Dedicated they are. They are dedicated to ensuring that the customer has the best experience possible. They helped us review other quotes and even had our vehicles or arrange for pick up the same their household got moved. They put together a package that helped us because we Are disabled and couldn’t do this move ourselves if we wanted to. It’s a rare thing that the owner gets on the phone to introduce her self but in this case he did. It’s all the little things that add up that make them a great company. We had no worries at any cost of the move. We always knew her furniture wise and they are very flexible company. That’s why they got our five star rating.

My partner and I went online to look for movers and we found A company that was fabulous. We had the most adorable salesman who had us laughing half of the time. We are very open about certain things and we found the community that we thought we would fit right into and it just so happened to be in Florida. So I’ll take the sunshine over the cold weather any day. To be fair we had to at least hear what other companies had to say even though we had no interest in working with them just to make sure the pricing was in line and we are being fairly priced. Dedicated Van lines offered us the best price that it everybody and they got us there safely and secure. None of our delicate items were damaged and by the time they were done you couldn’t tell that any moving company was even there.They handle each item so carefully and watching them stack each piece we knew that nothing would fall. Love it love it love it. You guys are awesome!!
